About SpendCanary
SpendCanary checks Google Ads accounts for money that leaks away, and tells the owner in dollars. It's built for small businesses that run their own ads, and for the freelancers who run ads for them. A small, independent team builds it. We're not an agency. SpendCanary works with Google Ads and isn't affiliated with Google.
Why we built it
Most of the money in a small Google Ads account is decided by a handful of settings, and several of them start out in the setting that spends the most: ads on partner sites, ads for people outside your area, broad matches, text Google writes for you. Agencies check these, but cost more than many small accounts spend. Google's own recommendations are free, but Google is also the one being paid.
So we built a scan that reads an account, finds those leaks, puts a dollar figure on each one, and explains how to fix it yourself. Then we added a daily check, because accounts change: Google applies updates, people get added, and tracking breaks without warning.
How we make money
From subscriptions, and nothing else. The scan is free, and the free plan checks one account every morning (with Sign in with Google), with instant alerts and a weekly email. Paid plans add more:
- Fix, $29 a month: Daily checks and alerts, plus one-click fixes with undo, a daily spend cap, a takeover alarm with email and phone alerts, and a ledger of money saved, for up to 3 accounts.
- Freelancer, $79 a month: Everything in Fix for up to 10 accounts, plus a client-ready monthly report for each one.
Full details are on the pricing page. Payments go through Paddle, our reseller. We don't sell advertising, we take no commissions, and nobody pays us to recommend anything.
What we never do with your account data
- We never sell it, never use it to advertise, and never use it to train AI models.
- We never change your Google Ads account without your approval. The free scan only reads. On paid plans, a change happens only when you approve that exact fix, which you can undo, or when a daily spend cap you set is reached.
- We never see your Google password. You can disconnect us at any time, and delete your data yourself.
