What the checker looks at

  • Does it load? We open the page as a phone and as a computer would. An error page, a page that keeps redirecting, or one that never answers loses every click you pay for, and Google can stop showing ads that lead to a broken page.
  • Is it fast on a phone? Most ad clicks come from phones. We time how long the page takes to arrive; over 3 seconds is slow, and many people give up before it finishes.
  • Can people get in touch or buy? We look for a phone number, a form, or a Book, Buy or Call button. If a visitor can't see what to do next, the click is often wasted.
  • Does it match the ad? If your ad promises same-day water heater installs and the page shows bathroom remodels, people leave. With your ad text, our AI compares the two and explains what it saw.

What it can't see

The checker reads the page's HTML; it doesn't run JavaScript. Pages that build everything with JavaScript, or sites that turn automated visitors away, may need a check on your own phone. Speed is measured from our servers, so treat it as a rough guide; Google's free PageSpeed Insights gives a fuller picture.
